Inspiring innovation at a new UC Davis lecture hall.
New Lecture Hall
Located west of central campus, California Hall is the newest lecture hall at UC Davis. It is the largest lecture hall with seating for 600 students. This hall is designed with students in mind including charging outlets at every two seats and shared tabletops.
Mission
Create a wayfinding and signage system that responds to a unique aspect about California.
Background research included analyzing the space and the audience.
Create Your Future is about capturing the creative spirit of California. Innovation is ingrained in the Californian mindset from blue jeans to the Silicon Valley startups. Throughout history, people have traveled west to test their new ideas. In California, the future is today.
